Our Troop meetings are held every Monday night from 7:30pm to 9:00pm at the West Deptford Scout Center located at 1261 Red Bank Ave, West Deptford, NJ 08063 (the corner of Redbank and Hessian avenues). If you would like to visit a Troop 295 meeting, learn more about us or join our Boys Scout Troop, please contact our Scoutmaster Matthew Gould (Scoutmaster@WDTroop295.org) or use the 'Contact Us' link on the menu to ask a question and obtain any additional information.

Troop 295 operates as a boy-led troop using patrols and with the guidance of the Scoutmaster and adult leaders. The Patrol Leader, with oversight from the Scoutmaster and Troop Committee, plan and implement the troop’s activities, including our weekly troop meetings, campouts, and our annual summer camp. Our adult leaders are trained in Scouting policies, training skills, and safety and are available to support and guide our Scouts.
Activities and Camping:
Troop 295 camps as often as one weekend a month during the school calendar year and also attends an annual summer camp (usually in June or July). Our Scouts enjoy the outdoors which is where most of the Scouting program and activities occur.  Campouts are organized and run by the Scout Patrols, including equipment and meals. The boys learn and practice outdoor skills, such as like wilderness survival, pioneering and orienteering.  Most of our monthly trips are within a 2 hour drive from the West Deptford Scout Center.

Parent Participation:
Troop 295 has strong support from parent volunteers.  We have many parents who also help with special projects and fund raising. Our Troop Committee meets monthly to discuss needs of the troop, the organization, schedule and actvities as well as to ensure the troop’s safety and its ongoing success.
