Annual Medical Forms & Copy of Insurance ID Card
From Mrs. Reeve: Any scout or adult attending summer camp needs to have the medical forms updated. I know a lot of the parents gave me forms but most of them did not have the doctors section completed. The scout camp will not let you at camp if the form is not completed. I will go over all the forms this weekend and send out another email as to what I need. Also one of the important things that almost everyone forgets is a copy of the front and back of your insurance card.
In years past, parents ran into problems with doctors/insurance companies getting in before you go. Last year Med Express did the exam as well as completed the forms for around $35.00.
Any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Cheryl Reeve

Patrol and other Class A Uniform Patches
Mrs. Reeve handed out new patrol patches to scouts a the weekly meeting on the 23rd.  Please be sure to sow this patch and update any other patch on your Class A' shirt before the May campout to New York (May 1-3).

Sean Kelly Eagle Scout Project - Requesting Assistance
(From Sean Kelly) I am working towards my Eagle Scout Rank and I am ready to complete my project. My project consists of redoing and enhancing the garden in front of the West Deptford Middle School. I will be adding and moving plants, paving bench areas and creating a herb garden. Upon completion, the garden will be a place to relax, study and educate students. I am asking if anyone will be available to help me with my project. I would greatly appreciate your help. I am planning to start the project the weekend of April 24-26. We will start Friday afternoon and hopefully finish by Sunday afternoon. If anyone has any supplies such as shovels, wheelbarrows, gloves and safety goggles, please bring them with you.
Also, if you would like to donate to my project, please make checks payable to: WD Troop 295.  Thank you in advance for your help with this project, Sean Kelly

Ben Weidner Eagle Scout Project - Awareness and Fundraising
Ben Weidner sent an email to the troop and announced the details of his Eagle Scout Project.  He will be looking for volunteers for an event on March 28th at Children's Hospital and also one or more dates prior to assist with assembling kits and materials.  Ben is also in the process for fundraising.
Email from Ben Weidner: "Many of you may already know that I am a Type 1 Diabetic which requires me to check the glucose or sugar levels in my blood and inject Insulin when I need to eat. I need to do this because my Pancreas does not function.  For my Eagle project, I am working with the Diabetes Center for Children at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. My project is to raise the necessary funds to purchase medic alert tags as well as important supplies to be included in kits for newly diagnosed Type 1 Diabetics and those in need.  Children's hospital has a need for hundreds or medic alert tags and supply kits every year. My goal is to make 150 kits that will be assembled by scouts from troop 295. I would also request the scouts help me distribute these kits at the hospital during the Living Well with Diabetes Conference on March 28th, 2015. I will be attending and participating at the conference.
In order to purchase these supplies, I am asking for donations from local businesses, friends and family. If you want to donate or know anyone who wants to donate, you can do this in a few ways
1. You can donate online using this GoFundMe page here http://www.gofundme.com/Diabetic_Kits
2. I can also receive personal checks made out to West Deptford Troop 295.  I can pick up any donation if you contact me 856-468-1624
I am asking for donations by February 28th to order supplies.
